Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using RudyDesk ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description

RudyDesk is a free, open-source remote desktop application that enables peer-to-peer connections between devices. The Service includes a web application (PWA), desktop application, mobile application, and signaling server.

3. Permitted Use

You may use RudyDesk to:

• Access and control your own devices remotely
• Provide remote technical support with explicit consent of the device owner
• Transfer files between your own devices

4. Prohibited Use

You must NOT use RudyDesk to:

• Access devices without authorization
• Conduct surveillance, stalking, or harassment
• Distribute malware or engage in hacking
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Overwhelm the signaling server with automated requests (DoS)

5. Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your devices, passwords, and 2FA credentials. RudyDesk is not liable for unauthorized access resulting from your failure to secure your credentials.

6. No Warranty

RudyDesk is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, data integrity, or fitness for any particular purpose.

7. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall RudyDesk or its developers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Service.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to block or terminate access to the signaling server for any user who violates these terms or engages in abusive behavior.

9. Changes

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.
