Wake a sleeping computer from afar

No need to keep your computer on around the clock: RudyDesk wakes it when you need it.

How it works

  • The wake signal (Wake-on-LAN) is sent by a neighbouring device with RudyDesk on the same home network.
  • “Mailbox”: the computer wakes itself every few minutes and checks whether someone is waiting.
  • A smart plug, or a built-in check that finds what blocks waking and fixes it.

The honest limits

The wake signal does not travel over the internet — a neighbour on the same network is needed. A browser cannot send it, only the app can. A computer with the power cut will not wake.
